CARE Diversity Workshop (Disability)
April 22, 2018 @ 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm¥1000
CARE is hosting FUN workshops to raise awareness of diversity (e.g. disability, mental illness and multicultural background) in Kobe this year!
Our inaugural workshop is about disabilities. Let’s learn and talk about disabilities in a safe, casual and fun environment! After the workshop we will have a social mixer with drinks and snacks for everyone to get to know each other.
The event will be bilingual (English and Japanese) so there is no need to worry if you cannot speak Japanese.
We have the honor of having Grace Ohashi who has multiple medical conditions but works for NPO Center for Independent Living MUCHU as well as being a regular MC for an NHK TV show called Barrierfree Variety Show (Barivara) as our guest speaker for the event. Check out Grace’s blog to find out more about her.
This event is for people who…
-want to learn about disabilities and know what we can do to support people with disabilities and help society become more inclusive
-want to share your experiences with disabilities and people with disabilities
